Haha this one is sick! I love the way you gave him a frog like head, it really gives me the impression of a bounty hunter! everything is just perfect! Great amount of detail. Btw do you sell any of your art work?
This actually reminds me of the Heavy Gear Blitz tabletop game where if your Gears (your mechs) come face to face with a tank weapons are either out of ammo or can't damage it you can always run up to it and beat it to scrap!
It needs bigger feet. Sorry it's my pet peeve and disregard if you like.
Big awesome mech sparta kicking a 70+ ton tank that requires all those tracks to reduce ground pressure to a manageable point so as to not get stuck everywhere off road and not to tear up every road it drives on.
Figure the mech would need to be at least the same weight or at least close in order to kick over said tank. but look at it's feet in comparison to the tank tracks. I am estimating the feet are covering about 1/20th of the surface area that the tank tracks do (just a guess from the pic). so your talking about massive sinking into soft ground and probable destructive foot prints in surface streets. If the the mech doesn't just fall straight into the sewers that is.
Women's high heels cause millions of dollars of damage each year to floors do to the enormous ground pressure put onto that little point impacting the ground. Now imagine that woman on a football field trying to walk. Those same heels sink. Same concept.
I love the concept, I love big mech art, but that one thing is a total killer for me.
see thats the point a mech (think real life for a sec) can move a lot faster then any tank (huge tank fan here btw) you also have to think about how fast the can move its turret to lock on to the mech (if theres only one) see i look at tanks as 70-90 ton sinpers to some affect there a great weapon system but how long will they be used for ? good question. now for mech's witch would be the next step in armoured warfare is a great concept but at the same time might not be. think of these facts for a second.
1. weight 2. weapons 3. maintenance 4. air lift capabilty
i am sure theres more facts to consider btw sorry if i spelled anything wrong.
now the other things like you said open field you might be right but it all depends on the size of the mech see i like real life concpets like this one armored core front mission mechs cause of size to me a gundam lol witch is what 60 feet makes no tactical sense but a mech say from 10-20 feet would mostly in urban combat.
now i could on but i would love to talk more about this
well ya thats what i am saying everything has a weakness like take the M1a1 its kicking the engine is a major weak point. i would say just like in real life you would have different types for different missions out fitted with different weapon systems only makes sense.
